A porcelain crown is recommended when there is an esthetic requirement and the strength of a tooth is compromised. Porcelain crowns can be made of only porcelain or may be fabricated with a metal (we use gold) substructure. We recommend gold substructures when overall strength is a primary consideration.

Our transitional crowns look and feel like porcelain crowns. Dr. Roska personally designs transitional crowns to mimic the desired shape and color characteristics of the final restorations. This great service provides our patients a "preview" of their esthetic transformation.
